Here at Helen Jacobs Co, we believe in the connection between the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. Your chakras are the system by which you keep your spiritual or energetic body in balance.
The health of your spiritual body underpins the health of your emotions, thoughts and physical health – or your emotional, mental and physical bodies.
Conversely, your physical, mental and emotional bodies give you clues as to where your energy is blocked, stagnant or in need of healing and clearing.
Intuitively connecting with all four bodies keeps you well. This is why we talk about the mind-body-spirit connection. And your intuition is the gateway to that connection.
Your energy has a knock on effect. Your chakras, or energy centres, correlate to their physical location in the body. When your chakras are clear and in good balance, the physical area associated with that chakra is likely to also be in good health. Where your chakra is out of balance, enlarged, stagnant or blocked, you are likely to start experiencing physical ailments and discomfort.
Let’s look at an example across all four bodies:
- When you don’t say what you need to say, your throat chakra will become affected and most likely blocked.
- You may emotionally feel this as a lump in your throat.
- You may think about what you want to say, or think it’s not worth saying and it builds up in the throat.
- Physically, you may end up with a lump in your throat… or any other ailment related to your throat, such as losing your voice, thyroid issues, coughs and colds.
It cuts both ways.
While this Chakra 101 series focused on the chakras and clearing and healing your energetic or spiritual bodies, you can also approach overall wellness by starting with any of the other bodies too.
For example, you can work on your physical body by treating the aches and pains with traditional medicine as they arise, or aim to prevent it through diet and exercise. But it’s only one piece of the puzzle.
You can review and revise your beliefs and thoughts about yourself and life and begin to feel a shift physically, emotionally and spiritually. Again, this is only one piece of the puzzle.
Or you may choose to work on the emotions you’ve held on to. And this will add yet another piece to the puzzle.
We believe the fastest and longest lasting route to overall health is through the energetic body. This too is just one piece of the puzzle, but a crucial and often overlooked one.
All roads will lead you to health – yet, starting with the energetic or spiritual body will ultimately bring you into alignment with the other bodies, thus bringing you all pieces of the puzzle for overall wellness.
